Bobo’s Deli and Grill is a spinoff and a modern adaptation of the restaurant formerly known as Teddy G’s Grille. Founded in 1999, by Teddy G himself, the Grille has been serving the greater Robinhood and Country Club area of Winston Salem. For 18 years Teddy G walked the walk until finally he decided to hang up his apron and pass the reigns off to another restauranteur. In September of 2017 Teddy G’s nephew, Andrew Bobotsiares, purchased the rights of the company and plans to carry on the tradition that Teddy introduced to the area, but with his own flair. When he took over in September he started to get to know the people and realized that he not only bought a restaurant with great potential, but a restaurant that brought people together like they were family. And the tradition will continue!
Bobo’s Deli and Grill is the next chapter of the restaurant. Andrew wanted to make the restaurant his own and decided that a name change was necessary.
However, he will always honor the classics and creations that his uncle Teddy made famous. Although, Andrew wants to bring his own ideas to the table. And having a back ground in culinary arts might be useful. Andrew graduated from Johnson & Wales of Charlotte in 2009 and has worked in numerous restaurant around the triad and out of state. He hopes he can add a bit of variety and creativeness to the menu. Bobo’s Deli is a funky, yet classic Deli inspired by New York’s greatest hits. Andrew’s idea was to bring fresh ingredients, the execution, and simplicity of a New York style deli with a Southern twist. We hand slice our meats and cheeses and scratch make our soups and the majority of our menu items in house. The menu includes salads, deli sandwiches, and burgers, but also digs into the health conscious consumers with more vegetarian options, healthier sides, and sandwiches. Andrew aspires to serve food that is simple, yet full of flavor, and often says “If I wouldn’t eat it, I wouldn’t serve it.” So come on in and check out what we have to offer on our menu and our special board. We promise to fill you up and make you feel at home, but just leave some room for dessert.
